author and founder
CHARLES WEHRENBERG:
A raconteur born in Saint Louis in 1944, a kid in love with cartoons and motors, and a graduate of the Johns Hopkins University, CW has lived in San Francisco since 1967. A successful author, conceptual artist, and inventor, he has added color to the American landscape since the mid 1960s when his work as a NASA scientist exposed a politically sensitive hazard of electromagnetic pollution. The author of published books and articles, he is equally at home with wood-carving chisels, watercolor brushes, or computers. Always writing although variously wearing the suit of an art-world entrepreneur or the wetsuit of a northern California surfer, his encyclopedic curiosity has engendered a protean voice quite unlike that of any other author.
